Shaker Kitchen
We completed this incredible bespoke shaker kitchen in Spring 2021 making clever use of the archway between rooms to create some amazing storage spaces.
The space comprised a large farmhouse kitchen with huge oak table, a panty, utility room, fitted display cabinets and cunning use of storage around an archway from a previous renovation.

This shaker kitchen has a cream colour wash to give a uniform look and feel. All the units, sink and appliances are along one wall, with painted wood panelling on the opposite wall. This gave the empty wall a designed and useful feel, while giving a nod to the Georgian heritage of the house.
Great attention was given to the details: handles, knobs, taps and other fittings were a bright brass to give a pop of colour in the paler colour palette.
The kitchen had an archway connection to an adjacent room leaving an awkward space to fit storage. We created narrow cupboards with display racks to store and display a treasured vintage plate collection, and useful glasses and receptacles storage. Fitting the cupboards around the archway gives a purposeful feel to the opening while being an innovative way to fit as much storage as possible to the house.
