Can we do this remotely?
I always start with a visit to your home – this is a really important part of the process that is crucial for me to get to know you and your space. During the visit we will have a walk around the space, sit down and have a chat and I will be able to survey the space ready to draw up plans. This means we can’t do the whole process remotely/just online.
I just need some help making decisions – which package is best for me?
The Design Deepdive is perfect for situations where you want a bit of support to make decisions, or to talk through your ideas for your home. A half day meeting allows us to walk around the space, talk through ideas and look at samples and colour charts. You will then receive a follow up document outlining what we discussed and the next steps you can take. It’s ideal for boosting your confidence or getting you started on a project that might have got a bit stuck.
Do I actually need plans for my project?
Plans and drawings are the best way to communicate with builders, electricians, plumbers, joiners and furniture makers. This means they save you so much time and money in the long run, and make sure you get exactly what you want at the end. I also provide 3D views to help you, and everyone involved on the project, visualise important details. A combination of drawings, a good brief and mood boards gives your project the best chance of success.
Can I pay in instalments?
After the deposit is paid, all packages can be paid in two, three or four instalments; with the exception of The Design Deepdive, which is paid for upfront.
Can I make changes?
Both the starter and medium packages include one round of revisions to your design document. After you receive a draft document we will organise a feedback session, either in person or remotely, where we’ll run through what you liked and what you might want to change or explore further. I can then make adjustments before sending out your final design document. If you want to make further changes down the line, then this is charged at an hourly rate.
Do you make kitchens as well as design them?
We no longer make our own kitchens but Charlotte has a good relationship with lots of local makers and can manage the entire process from design to installation.
